NEW ART STUDIO OFFERS CLASSES AND PARTIES

Business brief

On Nov. 8, Pottery Chic LLC opened its second Pinellas County studio, Practically Pikasso, at 500 Main St., Unit 1, in Safety Harbor.

The eclectic art studio specializes in paint-your-own pottery, wheel-thrown pottery, fusible glass, custom hand-crafted gifts and parties for all occasions, including corporate outings.

The independent, family-owned art studio has a staff of five, including owners Lynn Webb and Melissa Schultz, who say they enjoy the creative outlet and family fun found through paint-your-own pottery and fused glass.

Open studio hours and classes in a variety of media are available. The studio also offers children's birthday parties, bridal showers, team-building events and school and Scout functions. Walk-in guests are welcome. No experience is necessary.

Hours for the Safety Harbor location are noon to 6 p.m. Sundays and Mondays, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The company's first studio, opened in 1999, is at 1912 Fourth St. N in St. Petersburg.
