Although a partial recount of votes showed Democrat Patrick Murphy increasing his lead, Rep. Allen West appears determined to fight on. At least for a day or so.
"We are evaluating our options and studying the data," campaign manager Tim Edson tells the Buzz. "We will be discussing our next course of action tomorrow."
West supporters posted a message on the Facebook group Allen West Republic urging: "PLEASE CALL GOV. SCOTT TODAY, MONDAY 11-19 @ 8:30 AM TO REFUSE TO CERTIFY ANY & ALL FLORIDA BALLOTS BECAUSE OF TOO MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT INACCURACIES AND PROBLEMATIC BALLOTS!!!"
The state plans to certify the election tomorrow morning. "By statute, any returns submitted to the Department of State after the noon Sunday deadline cannot be accepted." spokesman Chris Cat It is worth noting, however, that the results of St. Lucie's final retabulation would not affect the ultimate outcome of any race and would not place any race within the margin of a recount."
