Once it's finished, a compound under construction on White Trout Lake in Carrollwood will house three generations of the Patel family and be among the largest residences in Hillsborough County.
Cardiologist and philanthropist Kiran C. Patel, who is building it, hopes that the family living in such proximity will sustain their Eastern values. He arrived in the United States on Thanksgiving Day 36 years ago, having met his wife, pediatrician Pallavi Patel, in medical school in India.
