The Storm has lost a second starter to a season-ending injury in two weeks.

DB Rashad Barksdale, one of Tampa Bay's top free agent signings, sustained a knee injury April 20 against Orlando. Specifics weren't available. He joins FB Terence Crosby (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Starting this season, a player placed on injured reserve is out for the season. Previously, players had to sit for only four weeks.

Barksdale sustained the injury while covering a kickoff and limped to the sideline. He returned to the game. He found out this week he needed surgery.

Barksdale was second on the team in tackles (251/2) behind DB Chris Smith (26). The third-year player led the Storm in passes defended (five) and fumble recoveries (two).

Feeling Better: K Juan Bongarra left the game at Orlando early in the third quarter and was taken to a hospital complaining of chest pains. He was released that night and returned to practice this week. The Storm signed Craig Camay on Thursday in case Bongarra can't go in tonight's game against Spokane.

Prime Time: The Storm makes its first of three appearances on national TV tonight. This is the first season of the league's deal with CBS Sports Network.

Fab Five: Shock DB Paul Stephens intercepted a league-record five passes (returning one for a touchdown) in last week's 69-47 victory against San Jose. The interceptions, his only ones of the season, lead the league. Storm QBAdrian McPherson has thrown one interception among 146 passes this season.

Remember me? Hills played three games for the Shock in 2012 before being released. He signed with Tampa Bay later in the season and torched the Shock for 215 yards and three touchdowns.

Ex-Bull traded: Orlando traded former USF and Storm WR Amarri Jackson to San Jose for QB Aaron Garcia and OL Devin Clark on Thursday. Garcia, 42, holds the league records for career passing yards (56,186) and TDs (1,220).
