Close call of the day

Rays TV reporter Kelly Nash, in Boston on assignment, stopped by Fenway Park and was taking a picture of herself atop the Green Monster during batting practice Saturday when she narrowly avoided being hit by a ball. Nash said she had "no idea" how close it came until she looked at the photo (right) to text it to family, then found the ball a row in front of her. 0-for-April: Price feels he has pitched better than his numbers indicate, but it is the first time the Rays have lost five straight games he has started. He is 2-4, 3.46 vs. the White Sox, including his 20th win last year.

Axe Man: Axelrod is winless in four starts but usually keeps his team in the game. He faced the Rays once in relief last September, allowing 3 runs in 1-2/3 IP. Has a 0.77 home ERA in two starts.
