BARISH, Ellen F. 63, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away April 21, 2013. Survived by a husband; 5 children; and 6 grandchildren. Abbey Affordable 727-517-2340

FISHMAN, Joel "Jaye" of Tampa, died Sunday, April 28, 2013. Mr. Fishman came to Tampa over 30 years ago from his native, New York. He was an entrepreneur and owned several floor covering businesses in addition to working most recently for Bob's Carpet Mart. Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, Kathryn; sons, Ken Fishman and Keith Fishman; daughter, Merrill Hawk; stepson, Kevin Piercey; eight grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Karen Fishman; and sister and brother-in-law, Rozanne and Beryl Greenstein. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 am at Segal Funeral Home, 3909 Henderson Boulevard, Tampa. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. GILLIAM, Helen T. 85, of Clearwater, died April 27, 2013. Helen was a resident of Clearwater for the past 65 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Gilliam and daughter, Deborah G. Walton. Survivors include her loving son, Kenny Gilliam (Mary); 4 grandchildren, Jason Gilliam, Jeffrey Gilliam, Katie Gilliam, and Ian Walton of Buffalo, NY; and son-in-law, Bruce Walton of St. Petersburg. GLOVER, William S. "Dick" 89, of Plant City, Florida, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2013. He was a lifelong farmer, and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Plant City. He is survived by his children, Wayne Glover, Sandee Lewis (Donnie), and Stanley Glover (Debbie), Juanita McCracken Glover; siblings, Ray Glover, Lila Mae Woods, and Martha Durrance; grandchildren, Kandee Edge, Pennie Priest, Grant Glover & Allison Glover; 4 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 1 at 4 pm at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm. HOOPER, John M. "Jay" 85, of North Redington Beach, died April 26th, 2013. He came here in 1960 from his native Pittsburgh, PA. He was an engineering graduate of Carnegie Tech and a registered engineer in 14 states. He completed the Alexander Hamilton course with special honors. He left his position of Chief Engineer of Tampa Bay Engineering in 1971 to start his own engineering and construction firm. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion, and a life member of ASCE. He was the founding President of the Tides Tennis Club and an avid HO model train & circus collector. Jay was a Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Jean; 2 daughters, Dawn Jan Ward and Tracey Kim Hooper; a grandson, John Ward; and his beagle, Snickers. JORDAN, Ricardo Michael 76, of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2013. He was born on Jan. 23, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Michael and Emily. Ricardo was an auxiliary police captain in New York. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Frances; sons, Richard (Melanie), Michael (Suzanne), and Christopher; daughter, Roseann Jordan-Ostensen (Robert); brothers, Michael (Marianne) and Robert (Pat); sister, Mary McGivney (Barry) and 12 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 3, at 11 am with family receiving friends from 10-11 am at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Ricardo will be deeply missed.

KEEFER, Phyllis Our Beautiful Mom. Today we lost an amazing woman, Phyllis Keefer. Phyllis was a generous giving person, only wanting for the happiness of her family and friends. She was a spirited , hard working woman, and the glue that held our family together. A piece of her will live on in our hearts until we are again reunited. KEKLLAS, Anthony "Tony" 62, of St. Petersburg passed away on Monday April 22 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Elefterios Kekllas. MALDONADO, Eleanor Leto 65, native of Tampa, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Roland Maldonado; daughters, Denise Maldonado, Lori Ramon-Sanchez (Gerardo); 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Gregory & Dylan Jones; brother Anthony Leto (Glinda); sister Antoinette Smith (Jim); nieces, nephews and friends. MILLER, Lucile Ann 83, of Plant City died April 26, 2013, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Tampa. Born April 20, 1930 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Schroeder and the late Wilhelmina Ruhr Schroeder. She was the wife of the late Burt Miller, Sr. Lucile loved her family dearly and cherished them always. She was also a big Rays baseball fan. Surviving include her sons, Burt Miller, Jr. and Gary Miller; daughter, Kathy Reynolds; sister, Janice Mortensen; grandchildren, Rebecca Hudon, Bryan and Brandon Brodock, Lee Ann Mottern, Ryan, Ashley, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Abigail, and Andrew Miller; and 5 great-grandchildren. And we must not forget Lucile's beloved dog "Bella". A Memorial service will be 11 am, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Plant City's First Baptist Church located at 503 N. Palmer Street, Plant City, Florida 33563. The family will receive friends for one hour prior at the church. MOORE, Howard C. Jr. (known to his family & friends as Butch), 68, of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born on Aug. 9, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to the late Howard Sr. and Maria. Howard was predeceased by his devoted wife, Wanda. Howard was in the United States Air Force and ended his Air Force career as a Senior Master Sergeant E8. After the Air Force, Howard worked at NOAA as a Flight Engineer / Hurricane Hunter for the Hurricane Center. Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Allison and Melissa Moore; sons, Bryan Moore (Rachel) & Christopher Scholen; sisters, Joyce O'Donnell and Jean M. Vidotto; 7 grandchildren, Katelynn Allison, Daisy McKamey and John Earnest, Chelsea Dietrich (Charles), Cody Moore, Hunter Moore, and Haden Moore; great-grandson, Michael McKamey. When Howard wasn't working he spent time working in his yard, barbequing, and spending time with his family. Howard was a devoted father who spent his whole life making sure his family was taken care of to the day he passed away. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 17 at 10 am at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1 pm. Howard will be deeply missed.

RICHARDSON, Teresa A. "Best", 58, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Moffitt Cancer Center after a brief illness. Teresa was born in Marietta, Ohio to James and Leona Best on Jan. 26, 1955. She is survived by husband, Kenneth Richardson; father, James Best (Ohio); sisters, Sandra Krout (George) Brandon, Ginny Gandee (Durwood) Tallahassee; brothers, James Best II, (Kathy) Ohio, Michael Best (Ohio); also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Best (Ohio). Her cat, Missy and Lilly and dog, Lady will sadly miss her. She was retired from USSA in Tampa. She was presently employed at H & R Block and Plantation Courtesy Patrol in Carrollwood. Teresa will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever. RIVERA-MOJICA, Pablo of Wesley Chapel, Florida, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1928 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2013. Mr. Rivera served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War conflict. He studied Civil Engineering and graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne. He worked for the Indiana State Highway Administration after graduation. Later he relocated to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he worked for private engineering consulting firms. He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen of 61 years; children, Bertha Ortiz (Jesse) and Pablo Rivera Jr. (Maria); brothers, Gonzalo Rivera and Gabriel Rivera; 5 grandchildren, Christina Ortiz, Jesse Ortiz (Tanya), Maria D. Rivera, Pablo J. Rivera (Melissa), Laura I Rosbozom (Matthew); 9 great-grandchildren, Jasmine A. Rivera, Thomas and Torianna Skorupski, Mylah, Ivelysse, Elyanah and Alexander Rosbozom and Zoe & Penelope Rivera. SOROKA, Galina 69, of Brandon, passed away on April 21, 2013. She was a loving wife & mother who helped her family escape from communistic Russia to Madison, WI, in 1978. Galina proudly worked as a seamstress for Men's Warehouse for over 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tsal and Haya Kleiman; and brother, Sasha Kleiman. Survivors include her husband, Mikhail Soroka; daughter, Kira Soroka (Tre Devine); and brothers, Gregory and Vladimir Kleiman. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date in Wisconsin. THORNE, Ilton C. Jr. 81, of Seffner, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Brandon. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Ginger Thorne of Port Charlotte, FL; Pam (Pete) Martin of Valrico and Jill (Tim) Scott of Troupsburg, NY; sister, Norma Zahradka of Venice, FL; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. WHITE, Mary Susan A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary Susan White will be held at the Tampa General Hospital on Friday, Mary 3rd at 1 pm. Mary Susan white went to the Lord on April 22, 2013. She was born on Aug. 31, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The daughter of the late Paul F. White, Sr. and Mary Richey White. She started a long fulfilling career in nursing beginning as a candy striper in her high school years at Queens Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her distinguished nursing career took her to Philadelphia, PA, Cincinnati, OH, and Tampa, FL where she retired from Tampa General Hospital in 2010 as an Educational Specialist, ARNP. Her life reflected her love for people and her deep desire to help them. She was a compassionate, caring, committed Christian. She will be missed. She left behind Sharon Hess, her life companion of 34 years, of Safety Harbor, FL; brother, Paul White of Honoluli, HI; and niece, Malia White of Honolulu, HI.
