Their friendship is so strong that though David Price, top, will be rooting for his Rays teammates tonight, he can't bring himself to root against James Shields, either. "If we could win 1-0 that'd be cool," Price said. "If he gives up like one unearned run and goes nine, that would be cool, that would be fun to see."
Sam Fuld, top,and Elliot Johnson were also tight, and though Fuld didn't follow through on a threat to attend Monday's Royals game and heckle Johnson, he did send him a gag gift, and they plan to get together this afternoon. "We set up a little lunch man-date," Fuld said.
Jake McGee, top,and Wade Davis came up through the Rays system together and have remained tight. Their wives are also good friends, and with Morgan McGee in New York helping Katelyn Davis with baby prep, McGee stayed over at Davis' house Sunday.

Rays at Royals
When/where: 8:10 tonight, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City
TV/radio: Sun Sports; 620-AM, 680-AM (Spanish)
Rays: RH Alex Cobb (3-1, 1.82)
ROYALS: RHP James Shields (1-2, 3.09)
Alex the Great: Cobb is coming off a strong outing vs. the Yankees, and his 10 wins since Aug.1 are most in the majors. His last outing vs. the Royals, on June 25, was rough, 13 hits and eight runs.
Familiar face: Ex-Ray Shields must be having flashbacks, pitching well without much support. In his one win he allowed 10 hits and four runs, he is 0-2 with two no-decisions in his other four despite a 2.48 ERA.
