Married Ray Alberty on April 29, 1957, in Rockford. Survivors include daughter, Kathy (Don) Rulison of Dunedin; granddaughter, Cassie Rulison of Oviedo; sisters, Ann Goodoff of Rockford and Sister Ann Patrice of Adrian, MI; and numerous extended family members. ALLAN, Lois P. of Seminole, joined her husband, George, in heaven on April 30, 2013. She was born in Pierre, SD in 1923. She graduated from Wood High School on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in 1941 and Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing, as an RN in 1948. She later received both BS and MS degrees in nursing, with honors. She married her beloved husband, George, in 1950 while he was serving in the USAF and stationed at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, SD. When George retired in 1978, they moved to Seminole. She dedicated her career to caring for others first in serving her country in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps and later as head RN in emergency and operating rooms of hospitals and as an instructor of nursing. She retired in 1986 from Bay Pines Veterans Hospital. She was a lifelong Methodist and active member of Oakhurst United Methodist Church where she started a volunteer program serving the elderly and was a member of the Mary/Martha Circle. Lois is survived by daughter, Circuit Judge Linda Allan of Seminole and granddaughter, Kristen Evers (Jim); daughter, Kathleen Moyer (Chris) of Pine Island and grandsons, Chris, James and David Moyer; sister, Phyllis Moore; brother, Edward Lindbloom (Irene); brother, Warren Lindbloom (Dorothy); nieces and nephews; and her wonderful dog, Hank, now lovingly cared for by her dear friends, Nancy and Harry Lyum. BACHELER, Francis Peck IV "Frank", 68, of Seminole, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Harborton, VA. Born May 3, 1944 in Baltimore, MD and reared in Somers Point, NJ, he was a son of Jane Ann Haase Bacheler of Seminole, and the late Francis Peck Bacheler III. Frank was a retired contracting officer with the FAA, and had served his country in the United States Army. CLARK, Dorothy D. age 93, of Clearwater was born into eternal life on April 24, 2013 in Englewood, FL. Born in Brooklyn, NY Sept. 6, 1919 to John H. and Anne B. Desmond. Dorothy came to Clearwater in 1946 where she worked in her chosen profession of nursing. She also worked in the office of St. Cecelia Catholic Church for many years prior to retirement in 1981. One of her greatest pleasures was the sand and surf of her beloved Clearwater Beach. Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn G. Desmond of East Hampton, NY and her brother, Jack Desmond of Norwalk, CT and Stuart, FL. Dorothy is survived by her brother, James B. del CUETO, Juan A. age 77, passed April 30, 2013. Native of Havana, Cuba, he graduated from the Univer-sidad of Santo Thomás of Villanueva as a CPA. He left his beloved homeland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1960, fleeing an oppressive communist regime to ensure that his son would be born and raised in a free country. He was one of the founders of the Cuban Civic Club where he served as its President as well as being on the Board of Directors for several years. He was also a member of La Casa Cuba and the Cuban CPA Association in Exile. EDELMAN, Allen a World War II Army veteran and community stalwart, died at home on April 27, 2013. Born July 14, 1922, in Philadelphia, he returned from service to complete his education, graduating from Drexel University. He moved to Clearwater in 1955. He was owner of the Four Seasons Motel on Clearwater Beach. He later sold the motel and worked in the Clearwater Parks and Recreation department for 32½ years. He was also a professional drummer; his hobbies included travel, baseball and collecting pig figurines and novelties. His civic career reflected his profound love of people, particularly the young. He worked at the Youth Maritime Center on Clearwater Beach and eventually became the first Social and Cultural Supervisor for the city of Clearwater. Allen created and/or actively supported programs for mentally challenged young adults, Star Spectaculars for teens, the Young Adult Club, the City Players, the Clearwater Community Chorus, Kids-a-Popping, as well as adult dance programs, art classes, and senior citizen activities. He was president of the Clearwater Beach Association for over 11 years and served on the Fun 'n Sun Festival Committee and the Miss Clearwater committee. He was Youth Committee chair for the Upper Pinellas Red Cross. He served as a surrogate parent in the Hospital/Homebound Department of Pinellas County Schools; and developed and taught an adult education Motel Management course. As a volunteer, he was Sunday School superintendent at Chapel-By-The-Sea on Clearwater Beach and worked with the youth at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Dunedin and the Clearwater Unitarian Universalist Church. He sang in the Clearwater Community Chorus, the Dunedin Community Chorus and church choirs. In Dunedin, he served on the arts and culture and stadium committees and the Dunedin Parks and Recreation Board. He was an original board member of the Apple Seeds Preschool. In 2010, Allen was inducted into the Dunedin Senior Hall of Fame. Allen is survived by wife, Betty; daughter, Lynne Faimalie; stepsons, Jim Hagadone (Yuki) and Jeff Hagadone (Coleen); and grandsons Mark, Nolan and Miles. HIBBARD, Robert E. "Bob" age 73, of Sun City Center, passed away on April 25, 2013. He retired after 34 years of service with Massachusetts Electric and was a member of the Elks Lodge of Ruskin, and the Sun City Center and Kings Point Amateur Radio Club with the call sign N1ZK. His hobbies also included remote control airplanes, karaoke and photography. JURADO, Rodrigo (M.D.) (Dr. Jurado) "Rod" Clearwater, and Clarkesville, GA, passed away April 30, 2013, in Clarkesville. Born in the Republic of Panama, he moved to Tampa at an early age. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School, graduated from Jesuit High School and received hls B.S. degree from the University of Florlda, Gainesville. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine with an M.D. degree. He completed his medical internship at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, & a pathology residency at Jackson-Memorial Hospital, Miami. He was a military veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He served as a staff pathologist at Wilford Hall Medical Center. After serving his country, he returned to Tampa where he was a staff pathologist at Smith, Kline & French Clinical Laboratory. He loved working with patients of all ages and turned to family medicine becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He was a family physician in Largo for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Aida Yglesias Jurado; children, Rod Jr. (Melody), Jaime Jose (Catherine Mary), Dr. Miguel (Judith), Cristina and Marisa Jurado; brother, Jaime (Teresa); cousin, Carmen Diaz (Ernle); grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Jose, Matthew, Adriana, Suzanne, Michael & Elizabeth Ann; many relatives in Panama. LADD, John Patrick 66, peacefully passed away at his home in Clearwater, on April 29, 2013. John was born in South Bend, IN on July 6, 1946. He attended Dixie Hollins High School and later earned a degree in Health Services Management. His first job was at Hood's Dairy, which later became Pet Dairy. John was a licensed real estate broker and property manager. He was co-owner of Pyramid Realty and continued in property management throughout his life. He later worked for Apria Healthcare, retiring in 2008. John married Sandra Balgenorth Ladd on Aug. 19, 1967. They celebrated each of their 46 years of marriage as if it were their first. John adored his family. He is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter, Shelly Ladd-Gilbert and her husband Paul; son, John Ladd and his wife Quynh; granddaughters, Katelyn, Sydney and Taylor; mother and father in-law, Margaret and Rodney Shippey; sisters, Karen Deetz and Vicky Ladd; and many other beloved family members across the United States from Florida to Alaska. At a young age, he enjoyed boxing and was a champion pool player. His passions also included deep sea fishing on his boat "Mai Elizabeth Linh" and golfing. He was a talented craftsman and was always helping others with their projects. LAKY, Michael Charles age 92, passed away at his Bon Secours Place on April 27, 2013. Mike was born in Philadelphia, PA. At the end of Second World War, he enlisted in the United States Army, Mike returned to Philadelphia and fell in love with Edna Laky, his wife of 56 years. They raised three daughters and a son, while operating Laky's Restaurant in Philadelphia until retirement in 1983. They relocated to St Petersburg in 2001. Mike will be remembered for his quick wit, warm smile and gentleness to all who he met. Michael C. MOORE, Howard C. Jr. (known to his family & friends as Butch), 68, of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born on Aug. 9, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to the late Howard Sr. and Maria. Howard was predeceased by his devoted wife, Wanda. Howard was in the United States Air Force and ended his Air Force career as a Senior Master Sergeant E8. After the Air Force, Howard worked at NOAA as a Flight Engineer / Hurricane Hunter for the Hurricane Center. Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Allison and Melissa Moore; sons, Bryan Moore (Rachel) & Christopher Scholen; sisters, Joyce O'Donnell and Jean M. Vidotto; 7 grandchildren, Katelynn Allison, Daisy McKamey and John Earnest, Chelsea Dietrich (Charles), Cody Moore, Hunter Moore, and Haden Moore; great-grandson, Michael McKamey. When Howard wasn't working he spent time working in his yard, barbequing, and spending time with his family. Howard was a devoted father who spent his whole life making sure his family was taken care of to the day he passed away. She later became a lifetime resident in Davidsonville, MD before moving to Largo in 2004. She volunteered most of her time as an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 8950 in Maryland. She loved playing Bingo. She departed quietly at Sabal Palms of Largo surrounded by her children. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl Norman Thomas in 2004.
