When LSU coach Les Miles looks at the 2012 Florida defense and the 2013 defense that will take the field at Tiger Stadium Saturday afternoon, he doesn't see very much of a difference between the two.
Both are extremely talented, Miles said.
Last season, the Tigers were held to 42 rushing yards and just 158 passing in a 14-6 loss to the Gators. Miles said this year's defense appears to be just as tough.
"I think the numbers have changed some, but they are all very talented guys," Miles said. "They run to the ball, play an aggressive brand. They don't look much different to me."
Florida has limited nine consecutive opponents to 20 points or less, which Miles said is a testament to the type of defense coach Will Muschamp cultivates.
"They run to the ball, they are never out of place, they play very sound and solid football at the line of scrimmage," Miles said. "They have the earmarks of a very quality defense."
