President George W. Bush gave Rep. C.W. Bill Young a call at the hospital today, thanking him for supporting the military as Young heads toward retirement.
The 82-year-old Young, who announced last week he was retiring, is at Walter Reed for a back injury. His health has been a question.
"He is still there and continuing to receive treatment," spokesman Harry Glenn said. "He's had a number of visitors over the past few days and had a lively conversation with President George W. Bush, who called today."
