For 30 years, Freebo played bass on recordings and toured with artists including Bonnie Raitt, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Ringo Starr, Neil Young and many others. A yearning for more creative expression prompted him to begin a process of deep inner discovery leading to his transition as a singer-songwriter.
The folk-rock-blues icon will be the musical guest at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at Unity Church of Clearwater, 2465 Nursery Road.
After the Sunday service, he will present a creativity workshop at 1 p.m. at Peace Cottage, located on church grounds, where he will explore the creative process and offer specific tools and hints for songwriting, musical arrangement and performing. A $25 offering is suggested.
Freebo plans an acoustic show at 7 p.m. Monday, also at Peace Cottage, where he will create a unique, intimate and inclusive atmosphere with his audience. Tickets are $15.

Organist Richard Grant will perform in concert at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kirk of Dunedin Church, 2686 Bayshore Blvd., Dunedin.

Members of Trinity Presbyterian Church and their family and friends are traveling to Karatu, Tanzania, in an effort to make a difference in the lives of children in the Tumani Junior School and orphans in the Shalom Village Orphanage.
The volunteers are covering their own expenses and travel costs for this mission. To raise money for direct services to the children, the church will host a bingo event from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Presbyterian's Fellowship Hall, 2001 Rainbow Drive, Clearwater.
