Rays catcher Jose Lobaton serves ice cream Tuesday during a visit to the Children's Home in Tampa. Lobaton was at the Children's Home to present a $5,000 check from the Rays Baseball Foundation and to deliver ice cream from Sweetbay Supermarket to the residents, volunteers and staff. In Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Boston Red Sox on Oct. 7, Lobaton became the first Rays player to hit a home run into the Rays Touch Tank, located over the centerfield fence at Tropicana Field. As a result, the Rays pledged a $5,000 donation to the Florida Aquarium, curators of the tank, and $5,000 to Lobaton's charity of choice. He picked the Children's Home.
