SCELZI, Susan Marie Taylor Oravec The world lost an eternal optimist on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, as Susan Marie Taylor Oravec Scelzi, born April 9, 1953, departed this life for what awaits those who live by the Golden Rule and are pure of heart and spirit. Free of the metastatic colon cancer which stole a little hop from her step over the last couple of years, Sue bounded off from the loved ones surrounding her bed at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce. Our loss is surely another's gain; but, we can only hope that St. Peter likes to wash walls and woodwork with Murphy's Oil Soap on Saturday mornings and to weed the flower beds that adorn the pearly gates. Your Shoes Your empty shoes, they sit and wait for you. While our life feels like your shoes, empty without you We could sit and be blue, but your shoes tell us a story about you They carried us through our lives They walked with you for miles and miles, and when we remember those miles we walked With you they make us smile To Schools, Colleges, Baseball, Basketball and Soccer Games, on Family Vacations And the so so many Graduations. The only son, a baby brother A mother's love like no other A Dad to six, A Papa to seventeen, a Loving Husband, a Dear Friend A man of wisdom, strength and humor until the end So although those Shoes appear empty, they were placed as a loving reminder, that not only did they walk with you , they tell us a lifetime about you While we maybe apart We hold you very close to our Heart Until the day we lace up our shoes and walk up to you In Memory of Our Loving Dad, Papa, Husband and Friend. Loved and missed so much from all your family XOXOXO Robert William Smith, Jr. February 5, 1936-October 18, 2012
