Gators to be without two key starters today vs. Missouri

The injuries continue to mount for the Florida Gators.

Earlier this week, the Gators lost starting RB Matt Jones to a knee injury.

Today, Florida announced the starting LB Ronald Powell and DT Damien Jacobs will not play in today's game against Missouri.

Powell injured his ankle last week and as of Wednesday had not practiced, coach Will Muschamp said. Muschamp said he hoped to get Powell in practice on Thursday, but announced today he will not play.

Jacobs suffered a head wound in last week's LSU game when he was tackled without his helmet and suffered a gash on his head. Florida did not reveal the specific injury that will keep him out today.

The Gators and Missouri kickoff at 12:21 p.m.
