Noah Siegrist ran for three touchdowns to help keep Hudson unbeaten in Class 5A, District 7.

The game was closer than the score indicates. The Rams (1-7, 1-2) traded punches with the Cobras (5-2, 3-0) throughout and tied it with less than five minutes left on Glass Wilson's 11-yard run before turnovers doomed them.

Junior quarterback Joey Caruso was responsible for the Cobras' first two touchdowns. He threw a 76-yard pass to Zach Russell early in the second quarter. After a forced turnover soon after, Caruso threw another touchdown to give the Cobras the lead. Caruso was 7-of-10 for 164 yards.

Siegrist drove the Hudson offense. His third touchdown, a 49-yarder, put the Cobras ahead for good. In all, he ran for 143 yards on only 16 attempts.

"What a heck of a football game on homecoming night," Hudson coach Mark Kantor said. "These seniors that were here all four years have gone through a lot. Now to be 5-2 and 3-0 in district play with a huge football game next week (against River Ridge) and an opportunity to go to the district playoffs is grand for this bunch and this program."

Wilson, a sophomore, ran 28 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns for Ridgewood.
