Arrangements for U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young, 82, who died Friday evening at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center were shared by the family on Saturday.

Wednesday: Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bill Young Armed Forces Reserve Center, 2801 Grand Ave., Pinellas Park.

Thursday: Public funeral at 1 p.m., First Baptist Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road, Largo. Private burial to follow.

Young died more than a week after unexpectedly announcing plans to retire after nearly 43 years in Congress. The family said the cause was "complications related to a chronic injury."

Reactions and tributes continued to pour in Saturday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush among them. He said: "Congressman Bill Young was a tremendous leader, great public servant, great Floridian and great friend. He was a relentless advocate for our veterans, especially those injured in the line of duty, and for the men and women serving in the military today. During his 22-term service in Congress, Bill never failed to fight for the best interests of Florida or Floridians. I will miss him, our state will miss his leadership and Washington will miss a great statesman. Columba's and my prayers are with Beverly and the entire Young family he cherished so much."
