Escobar will make $5 million next season, $7 million in 2016 and $7 million in 2017 (or a $1 million buyout).

Developing: The Rays, winners of two straight, will face the Rangers again tonight at Tropicana Field.

Ace LHP David Price will take on Texas for the first time since his complete-game win in Game 163, arguably the best moment in his career.

New daddy INF Sean Rodriguez was the hero Friday night, hitting a three-run homer with a career-high tying four RBI the day after his fourth child, Zekiel, was born.

The Rangers will throw RHP Nick Martinez, who is making his MLB debut.

RF Wil Myers will receive his 2013 AL Rookie of the Year award in a pre-game ceremony, and the first 20,000 fans will receive a commemorative Myers bobblehead.

Lineups, and more, to come.
