MAN IS KILLED IN SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH

A man died Monday morning when the sport utility vehicle he was driving veered off an access road to Interstate 75 in Riverview and hit a concrete pillar, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Michael Richard Nadeau, 40, of Dunnellon was headed north about 7:09 a.m. on the I-75 access road from U.S. 301 in a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, troopers said. He lost control of the vehicle and veered onto the left shoulder and into the grass median dividing the access road from the interstate.

The vehicle then hita pillar supporting the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, troopers said. Nadeau died at the scene.

Troopers were trying to determine what caused him to veer off the road.
