He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa; and two sons, Rodney and Ronald. A devoted husband of one woman for 59 years and father of 6. How does one even begin to summarize the life of this extraordinary man? It is an exercise in futility. Those close to him would agree. Bob was a Tampa native and Georgia Tech graduate in mechanical engineering and CEO of Heath Engineering Inc. He was also an entrepreneur, carpenter, machinist, artist, poet, & founding member of the Tampa Chapter of the Rare Fruit Council Intl. Bob was all this and much more. He was a man of intellect, a thinker, a serious man who also possessed a humorous side and a healthy dose of eccentricity. With family always being the priority, he spent not a boring day in his life! Yes, Bob was one of those unique, irreplaceable individuals and it is a pity that the life span of such a man is so painfully short. The family is now left with that awful aching emptiness that so often accompanies the departure of a loved one. The ache will subside - the emptiness will remain fortunately so will the memories. What a great ride it has been! Thank you Bob Heath from all of us! A gathering of life will be held on April 12, at 1:302 pm, with services at 2 pm at Brewer and Sons Funeral Home South Tampa Chapel.
