All-Star forward Anthony Davis will miss the Pelicans' final four games with back soreness. Davis is averaging 20.8 points and 10 rebounds a game. Guard Eric Gordon is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee next week. Gordon has missed 10 straight games.
PACERS STAYING: The Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board will pay about $160 million to the Pacers to keep the team in Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Star and the Indianapolis Business Journal reported. The deal, due to be announced Monday, will keep the team in the city through the 2023-24 season.
LAKERS' YOUNG SEES CHANGES: Guard Nick Young, who can opt out of his $1.2 million contract for next season to test free agency this summer, said he anticipates upheaval in the team's future. "I always wanted to be a Laker, and it will be a dream come true to still be here, but it's crazy," Young said. Other than Young, 11 of the 15 players on the roster are on expiring contracts.
