CHAMBERLAIN 35, BLAKE 6

The touchdowns that had been so elusive in recent weeks came easy in this win for Chamberlain and gave coach Richard Jones a reason to smile. "Wow, this is refreshing," he said. The district win snapped the Chiefs' three-game losing streak with a home matchup against Hillsborough next week.

KEY DRIVE: Chamberlain scored on its first offensive play, a 76-yard pass from Reggie Wester to Dj Daniels. The Chiefs also scored touchdowns off a blocked punt and two fumble recoveries for a 28-0 halftime lead.

STARS OF THE GAME: Chiefs safety Eric Gravely returned a fumble for a 98-yard touchdown that put his team ahead 21-0 in the second quarter. The play was one of two fourth-down situations in which Blake was stopped inside Chamberlain's 10. Within a minute of Gravely's touchdown, the Chiefs' Tahwan Keels returned a fumble for a 32-yard touchdown.

FINAL WORD: "We really hurt ourselves the last few weeks but we had a good week of practice and came out with good energy tonight. We needed to." - Jones.
