Stone crab season

Stone crab season opens Oct. 15 and runs to May 15. The bag limit is 1 gallon of claws per person or 2 gallons per vessel, whichever is less. The harvest of egg-bearing females (check the underside) is prohibited. The claw must measure 23/4 inches. It is legal to take both claws, but taking only one leaves a claw for hunting and defense.
