JEFFERSON 28, LETO 2

Jefferson started slowly with backup quarterback Randall Bradford in for injured Cade Weldon, but the Dragons scored twice in the last minute of the first half to build a 21-0 lead and improved to 3-2.

KEY DRIVE: With 31 seconds left in the first half, Noah Pena executed a successful onside kick and on the following play, Randall Bradford connected with Maurice Moore for a 40-yard touchdown.

STAR OF THE GAME: Salron Montgomery had nine rushes for 78 yards and three touchdowns.

STAT OF THE GAME: Leto was only able to complete 31 percent of its passes.

FINAL WORD: "It was a short week, we didn't have our starting quarterback. Everything was stacked up against us, obviously our defense played really well, we are proud of how our team bounced back." - Jefferson coach Jeremy Earle on rebounding from a loss on a short week.
