LAKEWOOD CAT STUDENTS WIN INNOVATION AWARD

The Center for Advanced Technologies at Lakewood High School was the overall winner in the 2014 Intranet Innovation Awards, beating out about 50 entries from around the world, including teams from Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte and the University of Liverpool. An intranet is a computer network within an organization; the competition is sponsored by Step Two Designs, an intranet design firm based in Australia. The judges said the students from Lakewood designed an "exceptional SharePoint intranet for desktop and mobile in a high school environment." They received the Platinum Award.
