DI DIO, Michaelina Mickey 83, Spring Hill, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. She was immediately presented with her Angelini wings. Michaelina, was born in Brooklyn, NY on Feb. 18, 1931, the daughter of Umberto and Maria Angelini who predeceased her. Mickey married Ignatzio Di Dio on Oct. 14, 1950, who predeceased her in 1997. Mickey was a strong devout woman who truly lived Gods word. Mickey is survived by her three children, Michael, Regina (Dennis) and Stephen; five grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas, Noelle, Marc and Kayla; and one great-grandchild, Vincent. She is also survived by her sister, Giovanna and brother, Joseph (Nancy), and many nieces and nephews who loved her. Visitation will be held at the Grace Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 from 2-6 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Cabrini Roman Catholic Church at 11 am on Saturday, Oct. 4. STEELE, Thomas L. 78, of Plant City, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 24, 2014. He was retired from the United States Army, and the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court. PASSMORE, Betty Jo 79, beloved wife and mother extraordinaire, ended her battle with ovarian cancer on Sept. 29, 2014. Originally from Tennessee, she resided in Tampa for 63 years where she fostered a life-long interest in mystery novels and dark chocolate. She is survived by George, her husband of 61 years (who prefers westerns and butter pecan); daughters, Denise Passmore (spinster), Rhonda Boocock (m. Paul Boocock); grandchildren, Sarah Gren and Daniel Prince (m. Rachel Fee-Prince); five great-grandchildren; her sister, Gwen Ethridge, who encouraged a fondness for peanut butter; and her brother, Rev. Jesse Buchanan; many beloved nieces and nephews; and adopted son, Mike Crouch (m. Carolyn Crouch). A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at the First Church of God on 2202 E. Busch Blvd, Tampa, which she has attended for about 60 years in spite of the inclusion of praise music and A/V presentations. TAYLOR, William T. Tom 67, of Tampa, passed away at home on Sept. 25, 2014, with his family by his side. Tom was born in Tampa Jan. 20, 1947 to C. Leon and Peaches Taylor. He graduated from Zephryhills High School in 1965 and had a passion for building race cars. Before joining the military, he was a proud member of the pit crew for Buzzie Reutimann. He then served 2 years in the Air Force and played saxophone for the Air Force band. Tom moved to Miami where he met the love of his life in 1973 and married in 1974. He then continued his education at Purdue University, School of Electrical Engineering, W. Lafayette, IN. It was there he received his BSEE in 1980 and his MSEE in 1981, with consecutive Magna Cum Laude honors. He was a very intelligent and hard-working man who was respected by many. He had a successful lifetime career as a self-employed Electrical Engineer and Computer Consultant. He was a devoted husband and father, and always made time to travel with his family as often as possible. He loved rafting in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, as well as frequent stays on Florida beaches. He was a very fun-loving, humble man. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving family; wife of 40 years (Joyce); daughters Sara and Sondra; son Matthew; 6 grandchildren; brother Leon Taylor; sister, Loris (Greg) Hubbard; 2 nieces; 5 nephews; 6 great-nieces; and 9 great-nephews. SALARIO, Lucy age 81, of Tampa, passed away peacefully, Sept. 28, 2014, with her six children by her side. Mom you were the most beautiful mother, grandmother, wife and friend. We were lucky to have you as our mother, because you made each holiday a wonderful event with warmth and hospitality. Our house was truly the house in the middle of the street, where everyone was welcomed. We will never forget our special dinners and most recently Friday lunches and Sunday dinners at your house. FUENTES, David Jr. V. was born Nov. 12, 1978 in Tampa, and was a life-long resident. He died Sept. 27, 2014, due to natural causes. He is a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend; who loved his family, friends and music. FOSTER, MSgt. Robert Lester (Ret.) 82, of Brandon, passed away Sept. 29, 2014. Robert was born in Carbon Hill, AL, to Robert and Ida Foster. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country proudly for 26 years. Robert married the love of his life, Mariko Sakamoto, in Nagoya, Japan. WADSWORTH, Stan died Sept. 13, 2014, in Scottsdale, AZ, at home with his family after complications from a stroke. He was 79. Stan lived his early life in Joliet, IL, where he graduated from Joliet Township High School with the class of 1953. He earned a bachelors in business from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1957, and then proudly served as a Lieutenant (junior grade) in the United States Navy until 1961. He served on the USS Corry DDR-817. After the Navy, Stan joined the Wadsworth Golf Construction Company, founded by his brother, Brent. The two enjoyed working together, which showed in their many successes, such as Innisbrook Resort and Conference Center in Tarpon Springs. The family moved from Florida to Durango, CO, in 1973, where Stan helped build and operate Tamarron Resort. He loved being part of Innisbrook and Tamarron and was always delighted by the beauty of the land. He often expressed his great fortune to work with so many fine people who felt the same way. He retired in 1997 and moved to Scottsdale in 2008. Stan is survived by Mary, his wife of 52 years; daughter, Holly; son, Hal; sister, Betty; brother, Brent (wife Jean); seven nieces and nephews and their children. We know his family, friends and former colleagues will celebrate his strength, warmth, kindness, compassion and gracious sense of humor, says Mary. We miss him. Stans son, Hal, remembers his dad warning him, Never eat more than your head weighs, while he instructed his daughter, Holly, Never eat anything that looks like a tree, a reference to his dislike for broccoli and cauliflower. Stan was a huge sports fan, loyally following the Chicago Cubs, Bulls and Bears every season. He also enjoyed cooking and trying new restaurants. One of his favorite dishes was pulled pork. WOLLETT, Margaret Caroline age 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 28, 2014. She was born Aug. 30, 1919, in Dallas, OR, to Helge and Emma Erickson Lindahl, and was proud of her Swedish heritage. Upon graduation from Oregon College of Education, she became an elementary school teacher. During WWII, she met Charles Jacob (C.J.) Wollett Jr. of Fairfax, OK, while he was serving as an officer in the Army Air Corps. They were married on June 27, 1943. The couple moved to Miami after the war, and after an interim transfer to Tennessee, they settled in Clearwater in 1961. She was an active leader in the womens group at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church and served as President of the Ladies of Kiwanis Club of Clearwater. Her principal focus in life was raising a family in which she instilled the importance of faith, education, service, family, life-long friendships and perseverance. She embodied these virtues throughout her life, particularly as she suffered a stroke and battled cancer. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, C.J.; brothers, George and Ralph Lindahl; and sister, Eveyln Lindahl Steelhammer. GIBSON, Edward Lane Jr. 81, of Safety Harbor, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at Suncoast Hospice. Born in Atlanta, GA to Edward and Lucille Gibson, Ed served in the Navy during the Korean war and married Barbara Ann Teston in 1955.Affectionately known by loved ones as Buddy or Bud, he was passionate about life. He never met a stranger, and enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Like his father he loved to paint and play golf any chance he got. Ed was extremely loving and proud of his girls, wife Barbara; daughter Elizabeth (Robert); and granddaughter Jessica. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Gibson of Orlando. Mrs. Olson was born Jan. 14, 1913, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Rose and Andrew Nemenz Sr. During her lifetime in Pittsburgh, she raised her family in Wilkinsburg and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. At age 40, she studied and became a Licensed Practical Nurse, which she practiced as an office nurse until her retirement. She was gifted in art and studied ceramics, oil painting and china painting. In 1977, she and her husband relocated to St. Petersburg. While in Florida, she perfected her china painting under a wonderful teacher and fulfilled her love of music and dancing by dancing daily at the Gazebo in Gulfport. In her 90s, she traveled with her daughter and lived in cities she enjoyed: New York City (Battery Park City) and Washington, DC.
