Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel says he plans to reach out to Florida State QB Jameis Winston to share his advice on how to handle being a Heisman Trophy winner in the spotlight. The burden of following a Heisman win is "heavier than the trophy," said Manziel, who won in 2012 at Texas A&M and lost to Winston last year. "Jameis is a guy I've had a good relationship with and want to help him in as many ways as I can." Both QBs have had high-profile off-field problems. Manziel tells espn.com he will tell Winston "to let as much time pass by to try to let some of these things blow over" and worry about football.

SHOCKED, SHOCKED I TELL YOU
7,000 pages' worth of IOC pomposity
It wasn't just the high price tag that prompted Norway to back out of its bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics this week. The country's decision-makers decided they had had enough of the International Olympic Committee's grossly overinflated sense of self-importance. The IOC gave each bid city roughly 7,000 pages of requirements for hosting, Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang reported. Among them:
- A full bar for IOC pooh-bahs at the opening and closing ceremonies.
- IOC members must be greeted with a smile upon arriving at their hotels, which must be pre-cleaned "particularly well." And hotel management should be prepared to correct the slightest problem posthaste.
- The usual car and driver at the beck and call of IOC members.
