Rep. Steve Southerland today announced that he had raised $620,000 for the third quarter, "a record for North and Northwest Florida."
But Democrat Gwen Graham's campaign tells the Buzz that it pulled in $820,000 for the same period, again showing her fundraising prowess in a tight race for Florida's 2nd Congressional District.
Southerland also released a poll that showed he has a 45-39 percent lead, with a 4.9 percent MOE. "Steve is in significantly better shape than he was as recently as three weeks ago due to several factors," reads a memo asserting Graham has an "authenticity problem." The Graham campaign says its own polling showed her ahead.
