BLUE, Frances 81, of Tampa, passed away Oct. 3, 2014 at her home. She was born in Connersville, IN, and moved to Tampa in 1964 coming from Miami. She retired from GTE as a telephone operator. Frances was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and member of Guardian Angels Auxiliary, and she enjoyed playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Blue; son, Steven Bliss; and daughter, Charlene Sweet. CASTRONUOVO, Nicholas Beloved husband, father and friend, dies at 91, Nicholas Castronuovo or Pop affectionately, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, in Atlanta, GA, two days before his 92nd birthday. Born in Senise, Italy in 1922, Nick came to the United States via New York harbor in 1936. He served in the United States Army in Europe in World War II and returned home to New Jersey to marry Ida Breglia, a childhood friend from Senise, in 1946. They were married for 67 years. Outgoing and sociable, Nick founded his own successful real estate agency, The Skyline Realty Company, in Cliffside Park and later entered into Bergen County politics, ultimately becoming Superintendent of the Bergen County Board of Elections. In 1990, Nick and Ida relocated to St. Petersburg, and later opened two Italian bakeries in the area. Day in and day out, Pop could be found at the counter deep in conversation with friends and strangers alike. But among the various hats he wore and many accomplishments of his life, Pop Pop is best remembered for his incredible wisdom, candid conversation and advice, and gregarious nature. He is survived by his wife, Ida Castronuovo; his three daughters, Dr. Madeline ODea, Frances Martini and Debra Joyce; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. CIPER, Jett Louis IN LOVING MEMORY. June 12, 2014 Oct. 4, 2014. Our precious little angel, Jett Louis Ciper, beloved infant son of Louis and Sandra Ciper of New Port Richey, went to be with our Lord on Oct. 4, 2014. Jett laughed and smiled throughout his short life, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched. His short life has touched two other infants in need as organ donations have been made. Jet is survived by both of his parents; as well as a big brother and sister, Kohen and Lola. He is also survived by his grandparents, Ralph and Toni Ciper and Larry and Sheri Herberholz all in the New Port Richey area, Shayne White in Spokane, WA. CLYATT, Ruth Louise Eyman, was born May 7, 1919 in Normal, IL, and died Oct. 3, 2014 in St. Petersburg. She graduated from Florida State College for Women in 1939. She was a member of the FSU Alumni Assn., Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and the DAR. In 1949, she and her husband, William N. Clyatt settled in Orinda, CA, where they reared their three sons and two daughters. They later moved to Mokelumne Hill, CA. They returned to Florida in 1998 and lived at Westminster Shores, in St. Petersburg. Ruth was an avid and accomplished homemaker, gardener and quilter. In 1981, she won the Best of Show Blue Ribbon at the California State Fair in the Home Arts Department for some of her quilting. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her youngest daughter, Sarah Emily Clyatt. She is survived by her daughter, Anne L.C. Albert; and sons, William S. Clyatt, Robert L. Clyatt, and Thomas J. Clyatt. There will be a memorial service for Ruth on Oct. 14, at 10 am, in the Health Center Chapel (St. Lukes) of Westminster Suncoast, 1095 Pinellas Point Dr. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33705. HAYWARD, Ronald D. 71, passed away the evening of Sept. 30, 2014, from multiple cancers, resulting from agent orange exposure during his honorable Marine Corps service in the jungles of Vietnam. HERBERT, Irene H. 92, died Sept. 5, 2014. She was born and raised on Snead Island, FL. In the early 1940s, she moved to Tampa and worked as the secretary to the Postmaster General at MacDill AFB. Soon thereafter, she met and married her husband, Dick. She then left MacDill and raised her three children. She is predeceased by her husband; daughter, Jill Herbert; two sisters, Madge Cleveland and Naomi Pillsbury; as well as her brother, Charles Hawkins. She is survived by her son, Jack of, Tampa; daughter, Merri, of Georgia; and two grandsons, Richard Herbert and Brian Garcia. She also leaves her two sisters-in-law, Virginia Hawkins and Dell Ingraham. NOTARANGELO, Joseph Jr., of Clearwater, passed away peacefully Oct. 3, 2014. Joseph was born in Teaneck, NJ, on March 12, 1933. He served in the Navy during Korea from 1951 to 1954. After Naval service he worked for Johnson and Johnson as a systems analyst for 37 years. Joseph moved to Florida in 1993 from Clifton, NJ. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed playing golf, watching the Bucs and Rays and spending time with his family. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sr. and mother, Ann. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda; sons, Michael, Joseph, Ralph and Albert; daughters, Anna Albanese and Deanna Ventura; stepsons, Sam and Michael Hulme; brother, Robert; sister, Carol Andrews; seven grandchildren and six step grandchildren.

PHILLIPS, Barbara J. age 84, passed away in Tampa Oct. 3, 2014. Barbara was born in Atlanta, GA, and raised in Fairburn, GA. After attending Bessie Tift College in Forsyth, GA, she moved to Sacramento, CA, where she met and married her husband of 65 years, Edward V. Phillips. Barbara and Ed later moved to Florida, where they lived in Orlando, Ormond Beach, Jacksonville, Maitland and, since 2012, Tampa. In Maitland, as everywhere she lived, Barbara was very active with her church. The First Baptist Church of Altamonte Springs was her last church home and where she was known as a second mother to so many of its members. She was librarian at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and also a smiling presence for many years at Baggetts Stationers and Office Supply. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Patti Jo Bennett; and is survived by her husband, Ed; her son, T. Clay Phillips (Andrea Zelman); her grandson, Zachary Bennett; her granddaughter, Latham Phillips; her daughter-of-the-heart, Pam Latham; and her many extended family members and friends who will forever miss her sweet smile and the cards and letters she regularly sent to commemorate every holiday and life event, or just because she was thinking about them. The family would like to thank the wonderful, loving staff of John Knox Village in Tampa, as well as the compassionate Hospice Gold Team members and the staff at Melech Hospice House, for their great care. RINKER, Nita P. died at home with her family by her side on Sept. 29, 2014. Nita was a strong, beautiful woman who cared deeply for her family, friends, pets and church. ROBERTS, Nancy Marie (Turner) 84, a native of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 surrounded by her family. Nancy is and always was a caring, courageous and spiritual woman. She will be remembered for her love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends and God. For those of us she touched, Nancy guided us through good and trying times. She will have eternal life and forever live in our hearts. Nancy was born to Junior Frank and Anna Marie Turner on March 29, 1930. She was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School class of 1948 and attended St. Petersburg Jr. College. She was a licensed practical nurse at Apollo Medical Center and was a unit secretary at Edward White Hospital. While a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, she served as church school superintendent and as a member of the Altar Guild. Later at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Nancy was records secretary, member of the Altar Guild, and served over 25 years as an office volunteer. She also volunteered at St. Anthonys Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Kay Marie Templeton; a brother, Richard Allen; a sister, Judith Ann Collins; and a nephew, Richard Ferguson. Nancy is survived by her husband, Albert (Al); her son, Jeffery Roberts; her daughter, Carol Morrison (Chip) of Tallahassee; and son-in-law, Gary Templeton. Also surviving are four granddaughters, Jessica Williams (Nathan) of North Carolina, Natalie Morrison of Gainesville, Lindsay Roberts and Ashley Roberts-Allen (Justin), both of Texas. Also, two great-grandsons, Bryce and Preston Allen. Following a private family internment, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 pm with a gathering afterwards. SHEPHERD, Elsie Louise (Tuttell) (S.F.O.) age 89, of Safety Harbor, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014. Elsie was born and raised in Bronx, NY. She initially worked as a Bookkeeper at the Railroad Express Agency (REA) until answering the call to serve in the United States Navy Waves during World War II. Elsie received her medical training at USN Hospital Corps School at Hunter College, NY, and served in the Naval Hospitals of St. Albans, NY, Sampson, NY, and Brooklyn, NY, caring for the returning wounded servicemen. Upon completion of her service as a Pharmacists Mate Third Class (PHM3) and Honorable Discharge, Elsies next journey would involve her marriage to her beloved John Jack Shepherd and raising a family of five children. She devoted herself to her family. Elsies love of the medical profession would draw her back to work as an Electrocardiogram Technician (EKG) at Eger Nursing Home in Staten Island, NY. Elsie and Jack relocated from New York to Safety Harbor to enjoy the good life and shared many happy years together. She is survived by her sister, Elinor Tietz; five children Spencer (Debbie) Shepherd, Kathleen (Gene) Petro, John Shepherd, Eloise (Aldo) Khoury and Robert (Michelle) Shepherd; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Elsie was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order, St. Francis of Assisi Fraternity. Visitation is Friday, Oct. 10, 4-6 pm, at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin. A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 12:30 pm, at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Philippe Pkwy, Safety Harbor. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater. TEMPLET, Donald Charles of St. Petersburg, entered into eternal rest, on Oct. 6, 2014. Donald was born in Baton Rouge, LA to Enos and Mable Templet. He attended Louisiana State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in business. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Donald served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II as a lieutenant. He was sales manager and a general partner for Hardwood Products Company, LLC for 30 years in Guilford, ME. Don enthusiastically enjoyed all sports including golf, tennis, sailing, and also had a passion and love for downhill skiing. In 1983, after retiring and moving to Florida, Don married Dorothy Wilkerson. They were members of the St. Petersburg Country Club and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Don and Dottie enjoyed spending their summers in Ashville. NC, playing golf at the Biltmore Forrest Country Club. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Cartwright Templet; his son, Todd Gleason Templet; his twin brother, Elred; and two sisters, Dorothy and Janet. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wilkerson Templet; son, Timothy Templet, and wife Elise; daughter, Suzanne Templet Young and husband, Bill; stepchildren, DeAnne Wilkerson Hutchison, and husband, Thomas, Kitty Wilkerson Cottrill, and husband, Christopher, DeWitt C. Wilkerson, III, and wife, Patricia, Margaret Templet Drummond, and husband, Richard; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Don was a charismatic southern gentleman with a kind heart, quick wit, and a giving soul. He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Oct. 12 at First United Methodist Church in Guilford, ME.
