SUV IN CYCLIST'S HIT-RUN FOUND, AUTHORITIES SAY

The Florida Highway Patrol says it has found the vehicle that struck and injured a cyclist on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard last month and then left the scene. Troopers are seeking the public's help finding and identifying the driver. About 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, a Sunday, 56-year-old Julio Vivo of Wesley Chapel was riding north on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard with a friend when a red SUV struck him from behind. The driver did not stop, according to FHP.

On Tuesday, FHP said it had recovered a red 2010 Jeep Liberty believed to be involved in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact FHP at (813) 631-4020 or Crime Stoppers.
