The challenge is on, especially if your dog is going to be topical, witty but still adorable for the best-dressed pet contest at the annual SPCA Pet Walk. Sure, you're tempted to strap a little ice bucket to the top of Spike's head (good for a drink later!) but that is so five minutes ago. The event from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday includes a 3K walk along the waterfront, an adoptable pet parade, a doggie day spa, an agility course, a pancake breakfast, a pet-wellness clinic, food trucks, a food court, dog caricatures, a dog water park and vendors. Brews by the Bay

It's the sixth year for this craft beer and food festival for the Florida Aquarium and there will be more than 100 beers, food, aquarium exhibits and live entertainment. Chicken Drop Bingo

Pick a square. If the live chicken roaming around the giant bingo board drops an unsavory load on your square, you win. Regatta, parties

Seddon Channel fills with paddle boards, dragon boats and kayaks for two days of rowing races. And there are two parties surrounding it. On Friday, BLU: Hillsborough Regatta Kickoff Party, features a laser show, cash bar, DJ and food trucks. $15, 11 and younger free at Marjorie Park on Davis Islands, 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, the Steward's Club will have a party where you can wear a fashionable hat for a posh party for the Head of the Hillsborough Regatta with reserved seating, brunch, open bar.
