1 Paddington 2: In case you missed the buzz when it hit the movie theaters in January, Paddington 2 became the best-reviewed film on Rotten Tomatoes. This week you have two chances to see it on the big screen for less than it costs to buy a jar of marmalade. It will be one of the featured movies Tuesday and Wednesday at Regal’s Summer Movie Express. That means it’s just $1 to see the sweet bear outsmart Hugh Grant at 10 a.m. at Largo Mall 8 in Largo, Citrus Park Stadium 20 and Park Place Stadium 16 in Pinellas Park. Or you can take a beach blanket to Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach on Friday and see it for free after sunset, about 8 p.m., on a jumbo-sized screen. As the Hollywood Reporter observed: "Paddington 2 won’t save the world, but its existence makes everything just that tiny bit better and more, well, bearable." 2 Perseid Meteor Shower: The annual summer meteor shower is easier to see if you can get away from the city’s light pollution.
