The Bucs enter stage 2 of their season-opening gauntlet against defending champions.

The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles arrive at Raymond James Stadium. They were 3.5-point favorites as of Thursday morning and the Bucs -- already without quarterback Jameis Winston due to suspension -- are thin in the secondary and were uncertain about the status of the biggest acquisitions of the last two offseasons: receiver DeSean Jackson and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul.

Will the buzz of that gigantic 48-40 victory at New Orleans (2017 NFC South champs) wear off soon, especially with a Monday Night Football meeting Sept. 24 with the Steelers (2017 AFC North champs) looming? Or could Tampa Bay roll into that game 2-0 and riding higher after the biggest wins of the Dirk Koetter era coming back to back?

Here's the Times' Bucs coverage team's predictions for Week 2.
