Nicole Kidman, Christie Brinkley grace Seminole Hard Rock’s expansion opening

Tampa’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino welcomed celebrities and performers for the grand opening of its $720 million expansion this week.

On Thursday, skywalking scion Nik Wallenda and his mother, Delilah Wallenda, performed a high-wire walk between the hotel’s old and new towers.

It coincided with the Seminole Tribe’s celebratory guitar smash, as well as a performance by dance troupe Light Balance in the event center. Celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Christie Brinkley and Kim Zolciak-Biermann walked the red carpet.

The party continues Thursday night with a performance by Big Boi and DJ Jazzy Jeff. There’s a sold-out concert by Urban on Friday, a $500,000 blackjack tournament Saturday and a VIP-only pool party Sunday featuring a DJ set by reality TV star Brody Jenner.

Events are either sold out or invite-only, though some fans can win entry to select events by entering at blogs.seminolehardrocktampa.com.
