There are loads of New Year’s Eve parties and concerts to ring in 2020, including the family-friendly First Night in downtown St. Petersburg and the elegant Salute to Vienna at Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall.

A notable newcomer this year is Sparkman Wharf’s first ever Laser Light Show, with live music followed by an hourly laser light show with a coordinated DJ performance. Another newbie is the Lights Festival at Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City where people are invited to make a lantern to release in the sky.

The stars are in town as Mario Lopez is back to host a party at WTR at the Godfrey Hotel, and Season 7 finalist Jasmine Masters of RuPaul’s Drag Race comes to Hamburger Mary’s.

And it’s 2020, so the biggest party theme is the Great Gatsby or Roaring ’20s.

Some parties are fancy and pricey, some are kid-friendly and some are just plain kooky. Read on to find your speed for welcoming the new year. All events are Tuesday unless otherwise noted.
