It’s a sweeping novel of romance and betrayal set in the Champagne region of France during World War II. Harmel, who will be a featured author at the festival, has written several other bestselling historical novels, grew up in St. Petersburg and is a former Times staffer.

The club will meet at 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at Pete’s General, 495 Seventh Ave. N, St. Petersburg. There will be snacks and drink specials. Because space is limited, an RSVP is required. To reserve, email to Book club members will also have reserved seats at Harmel’s appearance at the festival on Nov. 9.
