Art lovers looking to get their fix this Memorial Day weekend have some local options.

The Chihuly Collection, Morean Arts Center and the Morean Glass studio opened their doors today and will be open throughout the holiday weekend. They will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday.

The Morean Center for Clay will open to the public on Saturday.

The Chihuly is offering $5 admission for first responders, veterans, active military and medical workers. Guests are asked to reserve their tickets online in advance of their visit. The center is adopting a touchless environment with cashless transactions.

Cashless transactions also apply at the Morean Arts Center, the Morean Center for Clay and the Morean Glass Studio.

The art centers have adopted limited capacity and enhanced cleaning, including electrostatic fogging. Hand-sanitizing stations are found throughout the centers. They are following social distancing recommendations and have created and clearly marked new traffic flow patterns.

They have also installed sneeze guards at their guest service stations. Employees will be wearing masks, and they require that guests wear masks, too.

Only the studio will be open at the Morean Glass Studio. The glassblowing demonstration area has been shut down. They’re giving their furnace, “Puff,” some rest.

Guests can view the “Fresh Squeezed” exhibit at the Morean Arts Center that features emerging Florida artists.
