Live events and open attractions for June 8-14

In addition to live events this week, we have updates on local attractions that have reopened. Kate Tiedemann and Ellen Cotton Cabaret Theatre Concerts: The new music series set in a socially distanced cabaret-style theater in Ruth Eckerd Hall’s lobby kicks off with Greg Billings and McLean Mannix. Daredevil Rally Drive-In Thrill Show: Nik Wallenda presents a drive-in stunt show. Glazer Children’s Museum: The museum reopened June 6 at 25 percent capacity with reserved, timed tickets required. Exhibits have been modified to promote social distancing and discourage touching. John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art: The Ringling Museum and Selby Botanical Gardens both reopened May 27. Tampa Museum of Art: Tampa Museum of Art celebrated its 100th anniversary when it reopened June 1. Masks, social distancing and advance ticket purchase are encouraged. Clearwater Marine Aquarium: Clearwater Marine Aquarium reopened May 15 at 25 percent capacity. Morean Arts Center: The Morean Arts Center and all associated facilities reopened May 22. Centers are touchless environments and follow all CDC guidelines. Sparkman Wharf: The shopping and dining district reopened May 19. Live entertainment available most weekends. iFLY Indoor Skydiving: The indoor skydiving center reopened June 3. Wind tunnels use recirculated air from outside. All equipment is sanitized between flights. Universal Orlando: Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay reopened June 5. Face coverings and temperature checks are required. Busch Gardens: Busch Gardens reopens Thursday. Temperature checks are required at the gate and guests ages 2 and older must wear a mask. Adventure Island: Adventure Island reopens for the remainder of the season starting Thursday. Masks are prohibited in water areas but required at the entrance and in retail/food sales areas. Aquatica: Aquatica reopens Thursday. Masks are prohibited in the water but required in all other areas. Other rules include safe social distancing, hand sanitizing and temperature screenings when entering the property.
