FABULOUSLY UNIQUE: NATURAL HAIR AND BEAUTY EXPO

The Fabulously Unique Natural Hair and Beauty Expo is about much more than personal care. The event was created as a way to promote minority-owned businesses. Now in its fifth year, the event has grown to fill an expo hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds. There will be plenty of hair and beauty products at the event presented by Florida beauty brand Alikay Naturals, plus more than 50 health, beauty and wellness vendors and natural beauty workshops. Meet bloggers, hear a panel of beauty bosses and paint and sip with influencers. Treat yourself in the pamper lounge. Guys can get a barber shop experience in the man cave. $10, $5 children 5 and younger. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. 4800 U.S. 301 N, Tampa. fabunaturalhairexpo.com.

ART AND FASHION: CURB GEAR RUNWAY SHOW

September is a month affiliated with fashion. Vogue’s biggest issue comes out that month and Fashion Weeks happen all around the world. So it makes sense that there should be one last fashion event for the month. The Curb Gear Runway Show showcases five designers’ collections at the Chihuly Collection. The lineup includes four emerging designers, De Johnea Bianca, Dani B, Panda XO and Vasciannie. It’s helmed by Chateau de Curb Gear, a line of apparel by designer April-J. The event will include live entertainment and a chance to see the artwork in the Chihuly Collection. It’s also a fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation of America. $30, $50 VIP seating. 6 p.m. Saturday. 720 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. eventbrite.com.
