Take an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ ride through the Fourth Saturday Art Walk

ART AND MORE: FOURTH SATURDAY ART WALK

Sure, there is plenty of art to see on the Fourth Saturday Art Walk in the Pinellas Arts Village. But there are also affordable shopping opportunities at various studios and guest vendors. And there is an experience unlike any other with the Alice in Wonderland art ride at Pompei Monster Factory. It’s an actual ride that takes you through the psychedelic colors and characters from the beloved story. That coincides with the “Shadows of Wunderland” exhibit at COVE. Check out the Studios@5663 to find animal-centric cards, jewelry and prints from Pergamo Paper Goods. And guest vendors offering everything from olive oil to upcycled tie accessories give it a market feel. Free, $5 to take the ride. 4-9 p.m. Saturday. 5663 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park. (727) 342-2593.

BENEFIT: FRIENDS OF LARGO LIBRARY SALE

Did you resolve to read more this year? Stock up at the Friends of Largo Library Sale. Fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, travel books and children and young adult books are 50 cents each or three for $1. Same for CDs, DVDs and audiobooks. During the last two hours on the last day of the sale, paper grocery bags full of books are just $1. Free. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday. 120 Central Park Drive. FRESH START: CHIC DECOR AND ARTISAN MARKET

Does anyone else design rooms you don’t have when you visit home decor markets? The variety of styles found at the Chic Decor and Artisan Market in Wesley Chapel makes that easy to do. It was formerly known as the Shabby Chic Vintage Market and Artisan Days, but the new year brought a new name and a fresh shopping experience. The market features hundreds of Pasco County vendors and numerous styles, including farmhouse, rustic, shabby chic and industrial. If you’re truly out of room for home decor, there is handmade jewelry and clothing. Activities include creation stations and craft workshops. Live entertainment and food trucks make a day of it.
