New concerts: Nghtmre, Black Flag, Girlpool, Blue Oyster Cult, more

  • The Ritz Ybor in Tampa has announced a few new high-production shows that should pack 'em in: Nghtmre with Saymyname, Effen and Black A.M. on Dec. 5 (click here); Madeon on Dec. 8 (click here); and Subtronics on Feb. 28 (click here).
  • And St. Petersburg sports bar Ferg’s has announced a handful of concerts that don’t all seem to fit together, but are not at all unwelcome: Blue Oyster Cult on Nov. 16 ($19.50 and up, click here); Black Flag with the Linecutters on Jan. 24 ($19.50 and up, click here); and Dire Straits Legacy, Asia featuring John Payne and Big Country on March 6 ($29.50 and up, click here).
  • Tampa’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has announced two new concerts for its new event space: Kool and the Gang on Nov. 6 ($45 and up, click here) and Neil Sedaka on Nov. 22 ($60 and up, click here).
  • Robert Earl Keen will open for Kris Kristofferson on Jan. 26 at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater. Click here.
  • Girlpool is performing at Tampa hangout Hooch and Hive on Nov. 17. Tickets are $12 and up. Click here.
  • Former Dave Matthews Band fiddler Boyd Tinsley will return to the Attic in Tampa’s Ybor City on Dec. 12. Tickets are $30 and up. Click here.
  • Influential Egyptian comic Bassem Youssef, often called the Jon Stewart of the Middle East, is coming to Side Splitters Comedy Club in Tampa April 2-4. Tickets are $20 and up. Click here.
