New concerts: Saint Motel, Periphery, Shovels and Rope, more

  • Catchy alt-pop band Saint Motel (Move, My Type) is coming to the Orpheum in Tampa’s Ybor City on Feb. 3. Tickets are $25 and up. Click here.
  • WhigFest is returning to the Ritz Ybor in Tampa on Feb. 16, and this year’s headliners are the Infamous Stringdusters and Shovels and Rope. Also on the bill: the Currys, Flipturn, Big Daddy Love, Handmade Moments, Someday Honey, Oxford Noland, Helena Kletch, Jordan Foley, Deb Ruby, Van Plating, Cat Ridgeway and the Tourists and Speak Easy.   • Country duo LoCash has changed plans for their free concert that was set to take place outside Amalie Arena following Saturday’s Tampa Bay Lightning-Colorado Avalanche game. Due to a threat of inclement weather from Tropical Storm Dorian, it’ll now be held inside. Fans can pick up a free wristband at the ticket office starting at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, and start lining up for concert access at the start of the third period. For details, click here.
  • Singer Brent Faiyaz is coming to the Ritz Ybor on April 9. Tickets are $22 and up. Click here.
  • Prog-metal band Periphery is coming to the Ritz Ybor on Feb. 10. Tickets are $25 and up. Click here.
