New concerts: Allman Betts Band, Darci Lynne, Poppy, more

The Allman Betts Band, featuring Devon Allman (the son of Gregg Allman) and Duane Betts (the son of Dickey Betts), will perform at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on May 9. Tickets are $29.50 and up. Click here.

Infamous black metal band Mayhem -- the subject of last year’s biopic Lords of Chaos -- will co-headline next year’s Decibel Magazine Tour with fellow Norwegians Abbath, and they’ll hit the Ritz Ybor in Ybor City on March 31. Tickets are $29 and up. Click here.

Ventriloquist Darci Lynne, an America’s Got Talent favorite, has self-confirmed a March 6 performance at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City. No link yet, but it should be coming when the festival unveils its full lineup later this month.

Neil Sedaka has canceled his concert that was scheduled for Nov. 22 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Click here.

The Treasure Island sand-sculpting competition Sanding Ovations isn’t exactly known for live music, but they’ve booked a couple of notable headliners for this year’s event in Drivin N Cryin and Randall Bramblett, who will perform on the beach near 10650 Gulf Blvd. on Nov. 22. On Nov. 23, it’s the Kenny Chesney tribute Pirate Flag, along with Tobacco Rd. Band, Cornfused and the School of Rock St. Petersburg. And on Sunday it’s Sarasota Slim and the Heavy Pets performing a tribute to the Beatles. Click here for details.
