If you heard a high-pitched shriek across Tampa Bay this morning, it’s because of Harry Styles.
The One Direction heartthrob-turned-solo star has announced a world tour in support of his forthcoming album Fine Line, and it’ll stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Aug. 3. Tickets are $39.50 and up. Various presales begin at 10 a.m. Monday (if you’re a Styles fan, you’ll figure out how to get access), with a public on-sale at 11 a.m. Nov. 22. Click here and here for details.
Opening the show is Jenny Lewis — yes, that Jenny Lewis, the critically acclaimed alt-pop former child star-turned-singer-songwriter. So any of you snarky Harry haters out there can factor that into your decision about whether or not to buy tickets.
But really, are there any Harry haters left out there? Not only was he a charming presence within One Direction, but his 2017 self-titled solo album received critical acclaim. This weekend he’ll both host and perform as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, and fan frenzy over Fine Line, which drops in December, is already at a fever pitch.
Plus, he has the greatest head of hair this side of Steve Harrington. That goes a long way.
