Tampa hip-hop station Wild 94.1 just kicked off your weekend with some pretty big news: DaBaby is the first headliner announced for Wild Splash 2020.

The hugely hyped rapper will take the stage alongside several other hip-hop heavyweights when Wild Splash returns to Clearwater’s Coachman Park on March 7. The rest of the lineup will be announced soon.

The Charlotte, N.C., rapper broke into the mainstream in a major way last year, dropping two acclaimed albums (Baby on Baby and Kirk), several hit singles (Suge, Baby) and features with everyone from Post Malone to Nicki Minaj to Chance the Rapper. Cash S---, his duet with Megan Thee Stallion, was one of our favorite songs of 2019, and he just dropped a new single with Camila Cabello, My Oh My, that’s rising on the charts. Oh, and he recently served as the musical guest on an episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by Jennifer Lopez.

With hype comes controversy, and DaBaby is no stranger to that, either. He was recently cited for marijuana possession at a hometown show in Charlotte, and arrested and charged with battery in connection with an alleged robbery earlier this month in Miami.

Tickets to Wild Splash 2020 are on sale now for $35 and up. Click here for details.
