  • The Red Rocker returns! Sammy Hagar and the Circle, featuring Hagar’s old Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony alongside Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson, will perform at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa on July 11, with Whitesnake and Night Ranger opening.   • Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela just won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, and now they’re coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on March 28. Tickets are $33.25 and up. Click here.
  • Also coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall: ’70s stars Firefall, Poco and Pure Prairie League on Aug. 22. Tickets are $38.75 and up. Click here.
  • Folkgrass stars Old Crow Medicine Show will perform at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater on March 26. Tickets are $39 and up. Click here.

  • Ohio alt-rock spacemen Starset will perform at the Ritz Ybor in Tampa on June 21. Click here.
  • Shepherd’s Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach will kick off its spring DJ series South Beach Sundays with a performance by W&W on March 1. Tickets are $20 and up. Click here.
  • The popular podcast Welcome to Night Vale is returning to Tampa Theatre on Oct. 6. Tickets are $28.50 and up. Click here.
  • With a busy concert slate (DJ Khaled, Alicia Keys) underway, Tampa’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is getting into the theater game. A touring version of Jim Steinman’s Bat Out of Hell — The Musical will set up shop in the Rock’s new special events center from April 21-26. The musical, featuring Steinman’s collaborations with Meat LoafParadise By the Dashboard Light, Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad, I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) — is “the first in a series” of musicals the Hard Rock will host this year.
