I sacrifice precious hours of sleep to make sure folks get the news they need. I’m originally from the Bronx, but Florida’s now home. When I’m not trying to figure out ways to sneak Star Wars and Indiana Jones references into my stories (both of which I’ve done successfully) I’m probably on my motorcycle in search of my next favorite taco shop.

  9. Fernandez Gunter of Winter Haven was arrested Wednesday and faces one count of felony cruelty to an animal after one of his dogs was found with a rusty metal collar grown into an open wound on its neck. Three other dogs were found alive and one dead in his backyard.
    Four other dogs were found, one dead and three malnourished. Deputies said a rescued puppy had to be euthanized.
  10. Serina Probus is accused of hitting a man with her BMW and, in a separate incident, biting her sister-in-law on the hand and trying to pee on a sheriff's deputy.
    Serina Probus was charged with domestic violence and battery last week. While in jail she was accused of hitting a man with her BMW in October, but said she was too high on cocaine to remember it.
