I was born in Sarasota, raised in Bradenton and graduated from USF St. Petersburg. It’s safe to say Florida will always be the place I call home. I come to the Tampa Bay Times from Indiana, where I was the night editor of the Kokomo Tribune and Logansport Pharos-Tribune (and where I learned what it really means to experience different seasons). I’ve covered all kinds of news and feature stories, but I quickly learned that my favorite work happens behind the scenes: polishing copy to a shine, brainstorming clever and impactful headlines and monitoring the wires to bring you stories that matter from around the world. I’m thrilled to be returning to the Sunshine State to do more of what I love most. Outside of work, I can be found with my nose in a book or a film camera in hand.
