To me, novelty is what gives life meaning. Whether I’m visiting somewhere new, hearing someone I’ve never met before tell their story, or learning a piece of history that helps me better understand the past, this forward momentum is what gets me out of bed every morning. When I found out there was a career where I could work on something new every day — the news — I was sold. I grew up in Los Angeles and study Spanish- and French-language literature at Columbia University, where I’m also a deputy editor for the student newspaper. I currently work on the copy desk. I love traveling, cooking and making drinks, reading, watching movies and going outdoors. If anybody wants to talk Márquez, mojitos or movies from the ‘70s, you know where to find me.
