  2. The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences - Pasco Extension opened an incubator kitchen on Sept. 23. It's  at 15029 14th Street in Dade City. The goal of the kitchen is to create educational opportunities for food entrepreneurs and help them to start new businesses. Whitney Eleamor (center left) developed the idea for the kitchen.
  3. Harleme Larry is led from a Pasco County courtroom in 2013 after being sentenced to life at age 18. Larry was just 14 at the time of the murder that landed him in prison.
  4. Hernando County sheriff's deputies are seeking this vehicle in connection with a shooting that left a man wounded in a Spring Hill church parking lot. Anyone with information about this vehicle should call (352) 754-6830.
  5. Pasco firefighter Hunter Garcia and his wife, Kayla, and their 5-month-old daughter, Clara, were involved in a Hillsborough County crash. Clara died from her injuries on Sunday. A funeral will be held Wednesday.

  7. A 16-year-old was hit by a truck Tuesday morning after he darted out across Little Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

  12. Pedro Davila, 27, was arrested in Pasco County three weeks after he robbed a New York City jewelry store, authorities said.

  14. Pasco firefighter Hunter Garcia, his wife Kayla and their 5-month-old daughter Clara were injured in a four-vehicle collision Friday afternoon. The baby died from her injuries Sunday; Garcia has been released from the hospital while his wife is still recovering.
  15. Alex Hiscock, 25, left, and Derrick Beers, 23, were riding in a pickup truck Sept. 8 after a night out when it crashed into a tree. Beers died from his injuries. Hiscock was taken to a hospital in serious condition. He was later released with a neck brace and arm cast.
  16. Shelby Nealy, 26, appearing here at a hearing in New Port Richey, faces one charge of first-degree murder in Pasco and three in Pinellas.
  17. Saint Leo University hosted a Bahamian comfort food dinner Tuesday night. Nearly 150 of the more than 2,200 students on the Pasco County campus are from the Bahamas.
  18. H’Keem Lavar Hart, 25, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm and violation of probation, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. [HCSO]

  22. Stephen Spelman, 54, left, and Chris Casella, 52, (both) of Wesley Chapel, stand with a 9/11 memorial on Aug. 29, in Lutz. The men will dedicate the memorial at the first-annual 9/11 Memorial Run, a 1-mile running and walking event hosted by the Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel on Saturday. Spelman was a 9/11 first-responder who was working with the Fire Department of New York Battalion 46 during the attacks. Casella, a retired New York police officer, left the department in 2002, after a career with the Queens South Task Force. The memorial was constructed using a remnant of a ladder recovered from Ladder 18, a firetruck with the 4th Battalion Fort Pitt station that was destroyed during the 9/11 attacks.
  23. Michael Carver, 39, faces charges of attempted murder, domestic aggravated assault, tampering with a witness and false imprisonment, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
