News Editor, tbt*

“I just love the tbt*.” That was a common reaction I’d get after telling people I worked for the Tampa Bay Times’ free daily tabloid. I’m a lifelong St. Petersburg resident and USF grad, and nothing made me feel connected to our community than hearing from people who liked our newspaper’s fun take on delivering “fast news you can use.” Even though tbt* is no longer a daily, I’m proud to be the editor now that it’s returned to its weekly roots. (I’m especially pleased with our unique coverage of LBGTQ issues.) I’ve also worked in various news departments – from Sports to Features – for the St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay Times and wrote the the Daily Drivers auto-review column. Still, nothing makes me happier than writing a fun headline. My favorite? KOOK WITH A NUKE. Yes. that North Korea crisis has been front-page news for a long time ...
